
Police producing the thieves who allegedly committed thefts in temples across Eluru district.

The Nidamarru police arrested three individuals, who allegedly stole money from temple hundis across Nidamarru mandal in Eluru district.
The accused, P. Mahima Kumar of Aredu village, Undi mandal, Y. Joshi, native of Ganapavaram village, and S. Durga Prasad of Palakol, West Godavari district allegedly broke the locks of the temples and stole money from the hundis in Chinna Nindrakolanu and Pedda Nidrakolanu village, Nidamarru mandal in Eluru district, on July 26, 2025.
Acting on leads, police teams headed by Eluru DSP D. Sravan Kumar and CI N. Rajini Kumar, arrested the accused on Sunday, and recovered ₹5,700 cash and, a bike from them, said Superintendent of Police K. Pratap Shiva Kishore.
During questioning, the accused confessed to another temple theft in Denduluru mandal and a theft at a shop in Dwaraka Tirumala mandal, in Eluru district, the SP said.
