District-level training camp for students on traffic rules gets underway in Tiruchi

A district-level training camp to create awareness of traffic rules and other issues, including child safety, child rights, yoga and self-defence, to school students and Student Exnora members of different colleges was inaugurated here on Tuesday.

Commissioner of Police N. Kamini inaugurated the training camp near the Old Collectorate office. The camp will be conducted till August 28. Students from four schools attended the programme on Tuesday during which they were taken to the Children’s Traffic Park nearby and explained about road rules.

Students from different schools will be attending the camp till its conclusion. Awareness booklets on traffic rules and environment would be circulated to the students during the course of the camp. The camp is being organised by Youth Exnora International, Child Welfare Committee, district administration and the Tiruchi City Police.
