Ritwik Ghatak film screenings on August 17

The Banner Film Society will pay tribute to iconic filmmaker Ritwik Ghatak on his 100th birth anniversary with a retrospective of three films celebrating his cinematic legacy on August 17 at the Lenin Balavadi in Vazhuthacaud. The screenings will begin with Ajantrik at 9.30 a.m. This will be followed by the screening of two films which are part of his partition trilogy – Meghe Dhaka Tara at 11.30 a.m. and Subarnarekha at 2.15 p.m. Entry is free.
