B. Rakesh, Listin Stephen elected president, general secretary of Kerala Film Producers Association

B. Rakesh and Listin Stephen have been elected as president and general secretary, respectively, of the Kerala Film Producers Association (KFPA) in the elections held here on Thursday.

Sophia Paul and Sandeep Senan have been elected as vice-presidents of the association, and Alwin Antony and M.M. Hamsa joint secretaries. Maha Subair has been elected as treasurer.

Incidentally, Sandra Thomas, who contested to the executive committee, was defeated. The run-up to the election witnessed high drama as Ms. Thomas’ nominations to the post of president and treasurer were rejected following which she approached the court. However, the Ernakulam Sub Court dismissed her plea challenging the rejection of her nominations.
