On the occasion of Independence Day, two police officers have been selected for the President’s Medal and 20 for the Meritorious Service Awards.
Three officers of the Correctional Services have also been selected for the Meritorious Service Awards. Those selected for the President’s Medal are Chennupati Bhadraiah, Superintendent of Police, and Gopu Rajeev Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police. Ake Ravi Krishna, Inspector-General of Police, and 19 other police officers have been selected for the Meritorious Service Awards.
M. Varaprasad, DIG, K. Ravi Kumar, chief head warder, and T. Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Rao, head warder, of the Correctional Service have been selected for the Meritorious Service Awards.
