The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour in Tirumala on Friday (August 15). TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu hoisted the National Flag at his camp office. Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdhary hoisted the Tricolour at the Gokulam Rest House.
Recalling the sacrifices of freedom fighters, Mr. Chowdhary urged TTD employees to draw inspiration from them and serve devotees with dedication and uphold spiritual and humanitarian values in the age of technology.
In this era of rapid technological advancement, institutions like TTD have a greater role in nurturing spiritual and humanitarian values in society. TTD has introduced several initiatives for the benefit of the devotees visiting the temple town, he said.
