Minister M.P. Saminathan inspects Sanga Tamil Katchikoodam in Madurai on Monday.

Minister for Tamil Development and Information and Publicity M.P. Saminathan on Monday inspected Gandhi Memorial Museum, Sanga Tamil Kaatchi Koodam, World Tamil Sangam and Government Press in Madurai.
The Minister visited Gandhi Memorial Museum and inspected the renovation works being carried out at the museum. Extensive renovation works have been taken up at the museum on an outlay of ₹10 crore. The renovation works are nearing completion. He interacted with the executive committee members of the museum.
He instructed the Heritage Wing of the Public Works Department, which has taken up the renovation work, to complete the work by October. He garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi on the museum premises.
The Minister also inspected Sanga Tamil Kaatchi Koodam and urged the authorities to take steps to bring more focus on the art gallery. He said steps should be taken to bring people, particularly students to the art gallery so that they can learn from the vast collection at the gallery.
He also visited World Tamil Sangam and inspected the infrastructure facilities. Following the inspection at the Government Press, the Minister interacted with the employees, heard their grievances and assured them that their grievances would be looked into.
Secretary of Tamil Development and Information and Publicity V. Rajaraman, Madurai Collector K.J. Praveen Kumar and other government officials were present during the inspection.
