The Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, Kumbakonam, will operate special buses to Velankanni from various destinations from August 28 to September 9 in view of the annual festival of the Shrine Basilica of Our Lady of Health.
The special buses will be operated from Chennai, Dindigul, Madurai, Tiruchi, Manapparai, Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Poondi Madha Basilica, Oriyur, Chidambaram, Puducherry, Mayiladuthurai, Pattukottai, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Nagore, Karaikal and other places. Specials will be operated in the return direction too. The buses will be operated round-the-clock.
Service desks will function in the bus stands in Velankkani and other destinations for the benefit of passengers, K. Dasaradhan, Managing Director, TNSTC, Kumbakonam, said in a press release.
