A 48-year-old man died after his wife poured hot cooking oil on him following a quarrel between them. Police arrested the wife and remanded her on the charge of murder.
On the night of August 9, he came drunk and picked up a fight with his wife Nilavar Nisha. After he fell asleep, Nisha reportedly heated cooking oil in a cauldron on the stove and poured it on him while he was sleeping. He had serious burns. He succumbed to his burns on Monday.
