Man stabs mother-in-law to death

A man stabbed his mother-in-law to death in Gudalur in Theni district on Wednesday. He is absconding.

Suruli was married to Nadiya. However, following differences of opinion, Nadiya left her husband and was living with her parents. Under these circumstances, Suruli came to his in-laws house to meet his wife Nadiya.

He picked up an argument with his mother-in-law Poongudi. He then stabbed her with a knife and fled the scene. Poongudi’s neighbours rushed her to Cumbum government hospital. However, she succumbed to her injuries. Gudalur South police have registered a case. The police are on the lookout for Suruli.
