A senior citizen was allegedly killed by her caretaker in Tirupati on Thursday (August 21, 2025). The victim was identified as Dhana Lakshmi (73), living alone in a villa at Korramenugunta locality in Tirupati. The victim’s children and relatives live in Hyderabad, Telangana.
The police suspect that the victim’s caretaker identified as Ravi is behind the act. The Alipiri police arrived at the scene and found that jewellery and other valuables in the house were stolen.
A dog squad and CLUES team have been deployed to assist and the police have also launched a search operation to nab Ravi, who is absconding.
