ICCI convention centre inaugurated in Thoothukudi

The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Thoothukudi, has inaugurated the state-of-art, ICCI Convention Centre here on Friday.

The inaugural event had been organised with the chamber’s centenary year celebrations, in the presence of industrialists, business leaders and dignitaries from across the country.

The event featured the virtual inauguration of dedicated halls named in honour of the key industry partners such as JSW Hall inaugurated by V.S. A Jeyaraman, Vice President, ICCI, Thoothukudi, TMB Hall inaugurated by Salee S Nair inaugurated by MD&CEO, TamilNad Mercantile Bank, SPIC Hall inaugurated by E.Balu, Whole Time Director, SPIC Limited and VVD Nithyanandam Hall inaugurated by D. Kabilan from the VVD family.

At the event D.R. Kodeeswaran, President, ICCI, Thoothukudi, highlighted the vision behind the convention centre and its role in fostering trade, industry and community development in the region.

R. G. Chandramogan, Chairman and Founder of Hatsun Agro Products Limited, lauded the century-long journey of ICCI and emphasised the importance of Thoothukudi as a hub for trade, industry and entrepreneurship.

The event also featured the felicitation of past presidents, major donors, trade bodies, corporate houses, port users and brands that have contributed to the ICCI’s growth.
