The East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Friday announced special trains from Visakhapatnam to Bengaluru to clear the extra rush of passengers for Dasara and Diwali.
Train no.08581 Vizag–SMV Bengaluru Weekly Special will leave Vizag at 3.20 p.m. on Sundays from September 14 to November 30 and reach Duvvada at 4 p.m and depart at 4.02 p.m. to reach SMVT Bengaluru the next day at 12.45 p.m.
In the return direction, 08582 SMVT Bengaluru–Visakhapatnam Weekly Special train will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 3.50 p.m. on Mondays from September 15 to December 1 to arrive at Duvvada the next day at 12.40 p.m. and depart at 12.42 p.m. to reach Visakhapatnam at 1.30 p.m.
The trains will halt at at Anakapalli, Yelamanchili, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Renigunta, Katapadi, Jolarpetai, Kuppam, Bangarpet and Krishnarajapuram
The trains will have two II tier AC, three III tier AC, two III AC economy, eight sleeper class coaches, four general second class, and one second class cum luggage/Divyangjan and one luggage/generator/brake van.
