Namma School Namma Ooru Palli and Rotary District sign MoU to maintain hygiene facilities in 1,000 govt. schools

The School Education Department’s Namma School Namma Ooru Palli (NSNOP) signed an Memoranda of Understanding with Rotary Districts to create and maintain water, sanitisation and hygiene facilities in government schools on Saturday in Chennai. The initiative was launched by School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi. Under the CARE4School Programme of the department, Rotary Districts would also engage in housekeeping activities to reach and transform 1,000 government schools across Tamil Nadu in an effort to ensure that every child, especially girls and students with disabilities benefit from clean, and well-maintained environments. A Rotary-Namma School Dashboard was also unveiled on the occasion to track progress and mobilise resources.
