Delhi Labour and Employment Minister Kapil Mishra on Saturday said the city’s youth is working in Gurugram and Noida due to the “flawed policies” of the previous government.

Speaking at the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry Ladies Organisation Job Fair 2025 at Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, Mr. Mishra said, “The initiative is a wonderful experiment much needed in Delhi. Due to the wrong policies of the previous government, Delhi’s youth are forced to go to Gurugram and Noida for jobs.”

The Minister said the Bharatiya Janata Party government in the city is focusing on reviving the job industry. “Delhi is the hub of the country’s most talented youth; its infrastructure is robust. The Delhi government, in collaboration with the Central government, is working on a concrete action plan to revive industries,” he said.

Mr. Mishra said the government will promote pollution-free industries, tourism, the AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics) sector and service-based industries to create new opportunities.

The event drew participation from students, job-seekers, and over 40 companies.
