The AICTE-approved ATAL– Faculty Development Programme on “Numerical Approach in Design Thinking” has concluded at Government Polytechnic College in Kancharapalem, here on Saturday (August 23, 2025), according to principal K. Ratnakumar.
Chief guest Prof. K. Venkata Subbayya, former vice chancellor of JNTU – Vizianagaram, elaborated on the significance of the programme.
V. Ramakrishna, scientist-F, delivered a distinguished lecture, explaining the critical role of numerical analysis in the design, performance, and control of naval propellers. He presented examples on prediction, experimental validation, and control of propeller design. He also elaborated on computational models, hydrodynamic testing, and noise reduction techniques useful in the fields of naval defence, underwater vehicles, and enhancement of energy efficiency.
