Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is waging a relentless historic fight against BJP’S ‘vote theft’ to protect democracy, safeguard voting rights and constitutional values, said AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan.

She was addressing a meeting of party functionaries from various parts of the erstwhile composite Karimnagar district at Venkataipalli village in Gangadhara mandal of Karimnagar district on Monday.

Mr. Rahul Gandhi’s pan-India ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ is the inspiration for the ongoing State-wide ‘Janahita Padayatra’, she said, adding that it reinforces the Congress’s firm commitment to promote social justice, empower marginalised sections and espouse the cause of the poor.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President B. Mahesh Kumar Goud, Choppadandi MLA Medipally Sathyam and others spoke.

Earlier, Mr. Natarajan and Mr. Mahesh Kumar Goud along with Minister for Transport and Backward Classes Welfare Ponnam Prabhakar conducted a ‘shramadanam’ programme at the Social Welfare Hostel in Gangadhara mandal headquarters.
