As the ‘Pro Kabaddi League’ makes a much awaited return to the ‘city of destiny’, the home team ‘Telugu Titans’ has announced its new team for this season on Tuesday.
CEO of Telugu Titans, Dr. Trinadh Reddy shared his excitement at having the games in Visakhapatnam. He said that the Telugu Titans are committed to deepening audience engagement and growing the the sport. We will continue to execute our strategy to achieve a step change in the commercial value of the sport.
Coach of Telugu Titans, Krishna Kumar Hooda, said that the team has never been stronger than it is right now in season 12. “We look forward to develop a new strategy and innovative ways to attract and entertain fans and to keep building on this momentum with the team”, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Team Captain Vijay Malik said “I want to make the players feel safe, comfort them, and build strong bonds. Players need to feel secure, only then can they give 100 percent. We have a mix of experience, but the pressure is no different.”
The PKL will be held from August 29 to October 23. Telugu Titans will play 18 league stage matches like the other 11 teams with the top six entering the play-off games, whose schedule will be announced later.
The first match of Telugu Titans will be against Tamil Thalaivas on August 29, followed by UP Yoddhas on August 30. Telugu Titans will clash with Jaipur Pink Panthers on September 4, Bengal Warriors on September 7 and U Mumba on September 10.
All the matches will be held at Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium from 8 p.m. The Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 will be broadcasted live on the Star Sports Network and streamed on Jio Hotstar.
