Lawrence Schools (HSR and Koramangala) launched their Climate Action Clubs in collaboration with BBMP, promoting youth-led sustainability, in Bengaluru. The event was held at the HSR campus. It was aimed at fostering civic responsibility and climate resilience among students.

Pourakarmikas, who are part of Bengaluru’s waste management system, were felicitated during the event. BBMP Supervisor Maruthi urged students to segregate waste and keep their surroundings clean, declaring, ‘Namma Parisara, Namma Jawabdari; Namma Kasa Nammadu’.”

Over 769 institutions across Bengaluru have joined BBMP’s Climate Action Clubs. BBMP Fellow Suraj S. K. encouraged students to lead change through sustainable practices. Student leaders unveiled club logos, creatively representing their environmental commitment.

Lawrence HSR Principal Supriya Johnson and trustee Pushpa Subbaiah addressed climate challenges, and reaffirmed the school’s commitment.

The event concluded with students taking a climate action oath, guided by CMCA, to act for a greener Bengaluru.
