Cyberabad Traffic Police withdraw diversion check posts on NH-44 after road repair

The Cyberabad Traffic Police on Saturday (August 30, 2025) announced that the traffic diversions put in place on the Nagpur Highway (National Highway 44) following damage caused by heavy rains have now been withdrawn.

Diversion check posts were earlier set up at ORR Exit-6 and pillar number 57, Medchal, after torrential rains left parts of the Highway between Kamareddy, Dichpally and Armoor severely damaged.

Vehicles, particularly heavy traffic bound for Adilabad, had been rerouted through Siddipet, Karimnagar, Jagtial, Korutla and Metpally, while light vehicles were diverted from Toopran via Siddipet and Karimnagar before rejoining NH-44 at Armoor.

In its latest update, the Cyberabad Traffic Police informed that National Highway authorities have restored the damaged stretch towards Nagpur, making it safe for traffic movement. Following this, the diversion check post duties have been withdrawn.
