All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi on Saturday submitted a representation to Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar seeking more than 15 working days of sitting in the current Assembly session so as to have short discussions on at least 15 subjects the party identified.

The list of subjects includes rains and flooding in Telangana, farmer suicides, Rythu Bharosa and Rythu Bima, shortage of urea, and procurement of paddy and other crops.

Also on the list is the long-pending issue of fee reimbursement for students across communities in the form of reimbursement of tuition fee. He also sought discussions on the development of old city, including SRDP, SNDP, CRMP, and Musi beautification. Law and order and worsening traffic conditions too were included.

Mr. Owaisi also sought short discussions on the reorganisation of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation and its absorption into the government.

“Hence we request that the issues and subjects mentioned above are taken up and adequate time is allotted for question hour, short notice questions, zero hour, and discussions under Rule 311 as short discussions in this session,” he wrote in the representation.
