Various experts from the Indian medical devices industry came together for the first medical conference organised by Association of Tamil Nadu Medical Device Industry and Indian Medical Devices Industry to facilitate knowledge-sharing within the sector. The conference was held in Anna University. According to a press release, N. Ezhilan, member, State Planning Commission, highlighted the transformative potential of MedTech in the country. K.M. Sasikala, Professor and Head, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Anna University; and S. Ilangovan, Principal Director and Head, CIPET: Institute of Petrochemical Technology, Chennai, spoke.
