Bengaluru City University to host Victor Hugo symposium and Literary Fest on September 3

Bengaluru City University’s Centre for Global Languages will host a Symposium and Literary Fest on Victor Hugo, along with an Alumni Meet, on Wednesday, at 10.30 a.m. at Jnana Jyothi Auditorium, Central College campus. 

Marc Lamy, Consul General of France, will participate as the chief guest. K.R. Jalaja, professor, will preside over the event. Guests of honour include Jean-Marc Depierre, Suman Venkatesh, Thomas Chaumont, and Antoine Guillemet. Jyothi Venkatesh will be awarded the Chevalier in the Order of Academic Palms during the event.

 Dr. Suman Venkatesh will speak on her book Victor Hugo and Hindu Philosophy. The fest features a video and poster competition on Hugo’s poetry.
