HYDERABAD Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy urged the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao, YSR Congress Party chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N. Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan to support Justice Sudershan Reddy as the vice- president candidate.
Introducing Justice Reddy to the political parties in Telangana, he called upon the Telugu politicians to keep aside the political differences and elect Justice Sudershan Reddy as the VP candidate who has strong faith in Dr BR Ambedkar’s ideology. Mr. Reddy said both the Telugu States have 42 Lok Sabha members and 18 Rajya Sabha members and they all should vote according to their conscience. This is the time to support a Telugu man and Telugu identity as a Telugu person is contesting for a Constitutional position after a long time.
He described the election as a contest between those who want to safeguard the Constitution and those who want to dilute it. CPI national secretary K Narayana, CPI (M) state secretary John Wesley also spoke. Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, TPCC president Mahesh Goud, Mallu Ravi, Nasser Hussain, Congress MPs were among present.
