The Hindu bags best reporter, special mention awards for Beypore Water Festival coverage

Aabha Raveendran, principal correspondent of The Hindu attached to Kozhikode bureau, has been awarded best reporter for her coverage of the Beypore Water Festival. Her reporting was recognised in the print media category, which included both English and Malayalam publications.

​The Hindu also received a special mention for its comprehensive coverage of the event. This apart, the newspaper’s freelance photographer, K. Ragesh, was also given a special mention. ​The awards will be presented on September 7 during the closing ceremony of the Onam celebrations, ‘Mavelicus,’ on the Kozhikode beach.
