District in-charge Minister Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy has said that teachers play a vital role in transforming students into better citizens.
Speaking at the Teachers’ Day celebrations on Friday (September 5, 2025), he said students should emulate Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He said that Mahatma Jyothi Rao Phule, Dr. Abdul Kalam and others had attained great heights in their lives after serving as teachers.
Highlighting the reforms introduced in the education sector, the Minister said the government teachers should mould the students on par with their counterparts in corporate schools.
He said that quality meals with nutritious rice was being provided to students as part of the Dokka Seethamma Midday Meal scheme.
MP M. Sribharat called upon teachers to strive hard to improve student enrolment in schools.
Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad called upon the teachers to emulate their colleagues, who have secured the best teacher awards, and work for improving the standards of their students.
MLC Vepada Chiranjeevi said that teachers should spot the latent talents in children and strive to promote their interests apart from studies.
