‘Mavelicuz 2025’, Kozhikode’s official Onam extravaganza, will draw to a close on Sunday (Septembet 7, 2025).
A release said on Saturday (September 6, 2025) that Minister for Public Works and Tourism P.A. Mohamed Riyas will inaugurate the valedictory ceremony at 6 p.m. at LuLu Mall in the city. The celebrations have been going on since September 1 at venues such as Kozhikode Beach, Butt Road Beach, Tali, Kuttichira, Mananchira, Kozhikode Town Hall, Beypore, and Sargaalaya Arts and Crafts Village at Iringal. The organisers are the Tourism department, District Tourism Promotion Council, and Kerala Arts and Crafts Village.
On the concluding day, composer Shaan Rahman will perform at Kozhikode Beach, singer Chinmayi Sripada at LuLu Mall, Abhaya Hiranmayi and Nanchiyamma at Beypore Beach, and Kannur Sherif and Kollam Shafi at Sargaalaya.
