Two youth held for possessing high-grade ganja

J.J. Nagar Police have arrested two youths, who were part of a drug cartel and possessed OG ganja (high-quality cannabis) for the purpose of selling. 

Following the receipt of information from the Anti-Narcotic Intelligence Unit (ANIU), the police personnel from J.J. Nagar Police Station intensified the surveillance on Saturday afternoon near Nakkeeran Salai, Mogappair East. They intercepted two youths who were moving with a bag in a suspicious manner. On searching the bag, police seized ganja which was concealed in it. 

Police registered a case and arrested the duo, who have been identified as Aneesh, 27, and Rishikesh, 26, of Mogappair East. According to police, 25 grams of OG ganja, a weighing machine and two mobile phones were seized from them. 

Meanwhile, Anna Salai Police have arrested one Saravanaraj, 55, of Bengaluru who allegedly played a key role in abetting a drug cartel through certain monetary transactions.
