Delhi Congress president Devender Yadav on Saturday said that his party will hold a job fair at the Talkatora Stadium on June 19.
He added that over 100 companies are expected to participate in the fair and that they will recruit candidates directly for 5,000 positions.
Mr. Yadav said firms that have confirmed their presence include Flipkart, Bharti Airtel, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra, Amazon, Zepto, Tata Group, Samsung, Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Corporation, Voltas, Justdial, Vodafone Group, Blinkit, and Radisson Hotel Group.
“We are organising this event to provide jobs so that the unemployed youth, who are into drug addiction and depression, can be brought back into the mainstream for their own benefit as well as for the development of the country,” Mr. Yadav added.
The Delhi Congress president said that a similar employment fair organised recently by the party in Rajasthan had turned out to be a “huge success”.
