Harish Rao faults govt. for urea woes in Rabi too

Senior leader of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) T. Harish Rao criticised the State government for its failure to end farmers’ woes in getting the urea supply, despite making tall claims of streamlining the supply by introducing a mobile app to book urea in advance and get it without any hassles.

In a statement, Mr. Harish Rao said on Friday that the urea problem has cropped up at the beginning of the Rabi season itself and it would become more complex as the season peaks. Farmers in several districts were forced to wait in queues from early hours in the severe cold conditions. He stated that the government had introduced a mobile app only to cover up its failures in urea supply. He alleged that the government had failed to learn lessons from the experience of the Kharif season.
