Entire process of counting of votes to be covered with closed circuit television cameras

The entire process of bringing the control units of electronic voting machines from the strong rooms to the counting tables and taking up the counting of votes on May 4 for the Assembly election would be recorded with closed circuit television cameras, said Virudhunagar District Election Officer N. O. Sukhaputra.

Addressing representatives of recognised political parties here on Friday, the Collector said that uninterrupted power supply has been ensured at the counting centre set up at VSVNP College for all the seven Assembly constituencies of Rajapalayam, Srivilliputtur, Sivakasi, Sattur, Virudhunagar, Aruppukottai and Tiruchuli.
