Four new village panchayats created in Tiruchi district

Four more village panchayats have been created in Tiruchi district.

According to official sources, while Puthanatham in Manapparai panchayat union has been bifurcated into Puthanatham and Edayapatti panchayats, Krishnasamudram in Tiruverumbur panchayat union is divided into Krishnasamudram and Semmangulam panchayats. Similarly, Kannudayanpatti in Manapparai panchayat union has been bifurcated into Kannudayanpatti and Muthapudayanpatti panchayats. Inamkulathur in Manikandam panchayat union is divided into Inamkulathur and Alampattipudur.

Collector V. Saravanan said that the bifurcation had been notified in the district gazette on December 11. Objections and suggestions if any could be submitted within four weeks from the date of notification. Elections for the newly created panchayats would be conducted in the next rural body local panchayat elections in the State.
