The district administration has invited persons/organisations to handle support for survivors of sexual violence under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act in Krishnagiri.
According to the administration, organisations or individuals trained in providing support for children of sexual abuse are invited to apply for the positions of support persons mandated under the POCSO Act, POCSO Rules, Tamil Nadu Social Welfare and Women’s Rights department’s GI 23, dated August 12, 2026.
The support person must help coordinate with the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), police, Health Departments and the court, and also provide the necessary support in securing the required medical help, psychological support, education and rehabilitation services along with periodic updates to the family regarding the case.
Applicants must have studied any of the following streams: Education, Children’s health, Law, Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, or any relevant streams. Persons with or without three years experience are welcome to apply. The minimum age limit is 25 years.
The support person will be paid upto â‚ą10,000 (including travel expenses) per case. No remuneration will be paid if there is case allocation. Eligible persons may apply by downloading the application on www.krishnagiri.nic.in and submit the same to the DCPU, Collectorate by October 15.
