Mandya DC directs payment of govt.-released subsidy to sugarcane farmers

Instructions were issued for the immediate disbursal of government-released subsidy to farmers who supplied sugarcane to sugar factories during the 2025-26 crushing season.

Issuing the directive in Mandya on Monday, Deputy Commissioner Kumar, who presided over the meeting, said the State government had ordered a payment of ₹50 per tonne as subsidy to farmers, along with an additional ₹50 per tonne to be paid by sugar factories. While the government’s share has already been released, the factories’ share remains pending.
