Train services on the Secunderabad–Kazipet section were briefly affected on Sunday after a technical issue developed in the Overhead Equipment (OHE) near Moula Ali Railway Station, according to South Central Railway (SCR).
Railway officials said a few trains were regulated and detained temporarily as a precautionary measure. The affected Sathavahana Express was subsequently cleared, while the Palnadu Express, which had been detained at Moula Ali station, was moved with the assistance of a diesel locomotive, a press release said.
SCR also announced that Train No. 17659 Secunderabad–Bhadrachalam Road Kakatiya Express would be operated via the Malkajgiri route, skipping its scheduled stoppage at Moula Ali station due to the disruption. Railway personnel have taken up restoration works on a war footing to rectify the OHE problem and restore normal operations. Officials said the repair works were progressing rapidly and are expected to be completed shortly. The railway administration has advised passengers to stay updated on train movements and any operational changes through official channels.
