Three police personnel suspended for dereliction of duty

Thoothukudi SP N. Silambarasan has issued suspension orders against three police personnel for dereliction of duty.

According to police sources, Dhanushkodi, 44, head constable at Muthaiahpuram police station, Ulaganathan, 52, special sub inspector at Kulathur police station, and Selvamurugan, 40, police constable at Srivaikuntam police station, have been placed under suspension for a period of six months.

The personnel, it is said, were initially transferred to Armed Reserve. However, following a departmental inquiry, they were suspended from the service with immediate effect.
