YSRCP attempting to create unrest in State, says BJP leader Madhav

YSRCP leaders are attempting to create unrest and making derogatory remarks against the NDA leaders, unable to stomach the development being witnessed in the State, says State BJP president P.V.N. Madhav.

Addressing the media here on Tuesday, Mr. Madhav accused the previous YSRCP government of deliberately compromising the sanctity of Tirumala, and asserted that the present NDA government would not spare anyone involved in the Tirumala laddu prasadam scam case.

Mr. Madhav lauded the Union Budget-2026. He said under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government considered Andhra Pradesh as a strategic pillar for India’s growth.

From the hi-tech AI hubs in Visakhapatnam to traditional handlooms of Dharmavaram, the Budget would reach every household in the State.

He said the Central government was providing massive direct support to Andhra Pradesh’s infrastructure by allocating ₹1,128.91 crore for the development of Amaravati, ₹432.09 crore for integrated urban development in the capital region, ₹500.99 crore for rural roads, ₹800 crore for urban water supply and sewage management, and ₹350 crore for the reconstruction of roads and bridges.

He further said that in a commitment to the State’s water security, the Union Government allocated ₹3,320 crore in the Budget to bring the water storage to the minimum level (41.15 metres) as per the revised estimates of the Polavaram Irrigation Project.

With eco-friendly trekking trails in the Araku Valley and special programmes like bird watching at Pulicat Lake, Andhra Pradesh was being made a world-class destination for nature-based travel, he said.

He added that five iconic tourist destinations, including a few in Andhra Pradesh, would be developed through the Integrated East Coast Industrial Corridor.

About 4,000 electric buses were allocated to Andhra Pradesh to improve regional transport facilities. Three strategic high-speed rail corridors were announced in the Budget — Hyderabad-Bengaluru (via Kurnool, Anantapur), Hyderabad-Chennai (via Vijayawada, Nellore), and Chennai-Bengaluru (via Chittoor, Tirupati). These would position Andhra Pradesh as the premier industrial and transport hub of South India.
