A first-of-its-kind youth competition has been launched across South Asia, inviting young people aged 15 to 25 from the eight SAARC nations to submit five-minute videos on the theme ‘My Vision for South Asia as President/Prime Minister of My Country’. The initiative, organised by Doyens of Peace, is part of the 1st SAARC Civil Society Commemoration being held on August 12, marking International Youth Day. The commemoration will also honour peace activists Admiral L. Ramdas, Karamat Ali and Tapan Bose for their enduring contributions to peacebuilding in the region, said a release.

The last date to submit videos is July 25. Full guidelines and submission details are available at www.peacedoyens.org/videos-submission.
