In an act of revenge, a 14-year-old boy was allegedly abducted, stripped, and stabbed to death in Haiderpur, north Delhi, by eight persons, including four juveniles, on the intervening night of June 29-30, a police officer said on Thursday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North) Hareshwar V. Swami said the police have arrested the accused identified as Krishna alias Bhola and Ashmit alias Ashwani, and apprehended all four accused juveniles. The remaining two accused, Monu and Mohit, are at large, he added.
The matter came to light when the body of the victim, a resident of Jeevan Park in Siraspur, was found floating in the Munak Canal on July 1.
Krishna, the key accused, told the police that he was assaulted by two persons last year and believed that the deceased had a hand in it.
“He held a grudge and, along with his associates, plotted the killing,” the DCP said.
The accused intercepted the victim near Veer Bazar, abducted him and took him to the canal. “They gagged him with a scarf, stripped him, and each one of them took turns to stab him, before throwing his body into the canal,” the officer added.
