Two persons surrendered before the Judicial Magistrate court in Dindigul on Friday in connection with the murder of a farmer, a former BJP functionary. The farmer Balakrishnan was hacked to death on Thursday.
According to the police, Balakrishnan, a resident of Kallupatti, was speaking to his friends at a junction near Rajakkapatti. A group came in two wheelers and hacked Balakrishnan to death. It was said that he was murdered over previous enmity pertaining to a financial dispute.
Sanarpatti police registered a case. Under these circumstances, Gajendran of Rajakkapatti and Sathish of Paraipatti surrendered before the Judicial Magistrate court. The duo were remanded in judicial custody.
