Minister inspects construction work in Chennai

The Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments, P. K. Sekar Babu, inspected various projects on Saturday (July 5), including work in a marriage hall near Sri Srinivasa Perumal temple at Egmore, a multipurpose hall at Agastheeswarar temple in Villivakkam, a senior citizens’ residence under construction in Kolathur, and a new building for Arulmigu Kapaleeswarar Arts and Science College in Kolathur.

According to a press release, the consecration ceremony at Arulmigu Subramaniya Swamy Temple in Tiruchendur was scheduled for Sunday (July 7).“The Chief Minister reviewed the arrangements and directed the distribution of food packets. Three IAS officers were given additional responsibilities,” the Minister said.

The release stated that the senior citizens’ residence in Kolathur would accommodate 100 residents and include toilets, a dining hall, a library, a medical centre, a small park, yoga and meditation rooms, and walking paths, and that ₹5 crore had been received through corporate social responsibility (CSR) funding for this project.
