Following the inauguration of ‘Ungaludan Stalin’ programme by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin in Cuddalore, Ramanathapuram MLA Katharbatcha Muthuramalingam along with the officials inaugurated the camps.
Through the camps, people from town area could submit petitions pertaining to 46 services of 15 departments and those from rural areas can avail 43 services of 13 departments to get their petitions resolved.
The 217 camps which would be conducted till July 30 are to be held in four municipalities, seven town panchayats and 11 panchayat unions.
Hundreds of petitions were submitted in the camps on the first day, said officials.
District Collector Simranjeet Singh Kahlon was present during the event.
In Sivaganga district, Minister for Co-operation K.R. Periyakaruppan along with the District Collector K. Porkodi launched the programme.
Following the first day of the camp, on July 17, for public in Karaikudi corporation limit, camp would be conducted at College Road Rama Navami Hall, Karaikudi.
Similarly, for Kalaiyarkovil panchayat union limit, camp at Melamangalam panchayat Baganeri Pazhavalavu community hall, for Sivaganga panchayat union, camp at Okkur panchayat community hall, for Tirupathur panchayat union limit, camp at community hall in Kumarapettai panchayat, are to be conducted.
Also, for Singampunari panchayat union people, camp would be conducted at Keyankondan panchayat community hall, for Kannankudu panchayat union people, camp would be conducted at Kandiyur panchayat union elementary school.
People could seek the assistance of camps for property tax, water facility and license, sewage water discharge connection, basic facilities, maintenance, birth and death certificate, barren land tax, roadside shop license, name change in property tax, among others.
Also, eligible women could apply for ‘Kalaignar Urimai Thogai’ assistance through the camps.
