Kataru Nikitha of Visakhapatnam, who did her MBBS from AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, received a gold medal from the President of India Droupadi Murmu at the institute’s 5th convocation held on July 14.
Nikitha is in the final year doing her post graduation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at AIIMS New Delhi.
She completed her schooling from Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan in Visakhapatnam, and Intermediate from Sri Chaitanya Junior College. She secured an All India Rank (AIR) 312 in AIIMS UG exam and joined AIIMS Bhubaneswar in 2017. She won a gold medal in Ophthalmology while pursuing her MBBS.
In 2023, she secured a rank of 191 in the AIIMS PG entrance and enrolled in the PG course in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at AIIMS New Delhi.
Dr. Nikitha’s area of interest is surgery and she plans to pursue a fellowship in the same and serve the people of Visakhapatnam in the future.
