The speed post counters will be closed at the National Sorting Hub in St. Thomas Mount and Anna Road post office from Saturday to Monday. The Department of Posts is implementing an advanced postal technology system (IT 2.0) at the Airmail Sorting Division in Meenambakkam, and the services are being suspended to carry out integration and data migration activities, a press release said. Customers may instead book speed posts from their nearest post offices. The new initiative will facilitate faster processing, real-time tracking, and improved delivery of services. Services will resume on July 22.
