Man accused of assaulting in-laws held

A man accused of attempting to murder his mother-in-law and sister-in-law was arrested by the Aluva police. The arrested has been identified as Rajeev, 29, of Thiruvananthapuram. He had married the woman he met over social media a year and a half ago. She, however, returned to her home following his alleged harassment. The accused attacked her family members, accusing them of being responsible for her decision. He was nabbed from Arsikere Junction railway station, around 100 kilometres from Mysuru, the police said.
