Bihar Assembly adjourned till 2 p.m. amid ruckus, Tejashwi-Nitish spat over Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls

The Bihar Assembly was on Wednesday (July 23, 2025) adjourned till 2 p.m. after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar angrily intervened during a statement by the Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, over Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in the State, plunging the House into turmoil.

“Only three days of this session are left. You should say whatever you wish during elections,” said the Chief Minister.

Most of the Opposition party leaders are wearing black dresses even on Wednesday in protest over the ongoing SIR of electoral roll exercise in the State.

Earlier, the Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav had agreed to give a chance to both the opposing camps, NDA and Mahagathbandhan ( grand alliance) leaders, over SIR. Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav was speaking on the issue when the House was adjourned till lunchtime.

Mr. Yadav was making the statement on the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in the State, to which the Leader of the House took exception.
