TDP’s State president Palla Srinivasa Rao on Sunday said as Andhra Pradesh positions itself on the cusp of an industrial resurgence under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the YSRCP appears determined to tarnish its image through misinformation and political distortion.
Speaking to the media here at Gajuwaka, Mr. Palla Srinivasa Rao slammed the statements made by former Minister Gudivada Amarnath.
“Mr. Amarnath pretends to possess political wit, but all he engages in is the relentless misrepresentation of facts, stitched together with half-truths and malicious intent,” he said.
The TDP leader alleged that during its five-year rule, the YSRCP failed to attract even a single significant industrial establishment to the state. He said global technology giants such as Google, TCS and Cognizant have recently expressed confidence in Andhra Pradesh, attributing it to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s sustained engagement with stakeholders and his emphasis on transparent governance.
“The previous regime, on the other hand, saw multinational companies fleeing the State due to coercion, opaque dealings and a hostile investment climate,” he said, citing cases involving Apollo Tyres, HSBC, and the Lulu Group.
As Mr. Naidu leads a high-level delegation to Singapore to attract foreign investments and elevate Andhra Pradesh’s standing on the global economic map, Mr. Amarnath and other YSRCP leaders remain occupied with trivial and toxic narratives, he said.
Referring to the YSRCP’s attempts to malign the Chief Minister’s foreign visits as cover for stashing illicit funds, Mr. Srinivasa Rao termed the accusation as baseless.
