Bharatiya Janata Party Mahila Morcha activists took out a protest march to the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) office here on Tuesday seeking an unconditional apology from Congress leaders over remarks allegedly made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother at an Opposition march in Bihar and an end to Congress’ attempts to protect an MLA accused of sexual misconduct.

The police put up barricades in front of the KPCC office to block the march. Water cannons were used against the women activists multiple times. Mahila Morcha State unit president Navya Haridas inaugurated the protest.
