A total of 47 individuals were held by the She Teams of the Cyberabad Women and Children Safety Wing for indecent behaviour in public places. The teams conducted 96 decoy operations between July 28 and August 2.

Petty cases were registered against all the respondents, and all of them were subjected to counselling. The official said that 22 complaints were received from women through various platforms, prompting swift follow-up by the teams.

As part of the preventive outreach, 54 awareness programmes were conducted at educational institutions, public places, and workplaces. The Women and Children Safety Wing also held four in-house counselling sessions to provide support and guidance to women in distress.

The Family Counselling Centre (CDEW) in Cyberabad addressed domestic disputes involving 24 families, aiming to resolve conflicts and encourage reunification where possible.

Meanwhile, the Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) intensified its educational drive, conducting sessions across Cyberabad with participation from around 120 individuals. Topics covered included human and child trafficking, cyberbullying, social media harassment, child rights, stalking, child labour, begging, and child marriage. Participants were also informed about key emergency helplines such as Women’s Helpline 181, Child Helpline 1098, and Cybercrime Helpline 1930.

The Cyberabad Police along with the Children and Youth Safety Forum, Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) rolled out the Suraksha Kavach programme, a pilot initiative designed to promote school safety across four core areas: physical safety, cyber safety, psychological safety, and road and infrastructure safety. Awareness sessions were conducted across several schools this week, targeting students and bus drivers with vital information on road safety, cyber hygiene, and POCSO-related protocols.

In addition, students of Pallavi International School visited the Cyberabad Commissionerate office, where they toured critical units such as the Bharosa Centre and the Traffic Control Room. They also had an interactive session with Cyberabad Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Gajarao Bhupal, who shared insights into the role of policing in public safety and inspired the students with stories from the field.
