Walkathon held to raise awareness on organ donation

The Rainbow Children’s Hospital, Chennai, organised a walkathon at Besant Nagar Beach on Saturday to mark World Organ Donation Day. The event drew over 300 participants, including families, children, and healthcare professionals. Flagging off the event, actor Devyani spoke about the impact of collective community action in building a more informed and health-conscious society. The walkathon highlighted the urgent need for paediatric organ donations in India, where only a fraction of children receive the life-saving transplants they need.
